We interrupt this broadcast...

It should come as no surprise that I'm already back in Japan before finishing the rest of my posts about America… I'm a special kind of procrastinator that defies description. I'll get onto the "Road Trippin' USA" posts eventually, but for now, my good news is that I finally got accepted into the Masters of Law program at university. This essentially means that I have 2.5 more years of languishing in academic limbo… oh well.

Additionally, I had a blast last night intimidating one of the new residents in my dorm. Usually, I go down to the guard's station at half past midnight to collect the newspapers that they put aside for me so that no one else finds out about it, and demand that they should get a copy of the newspaper too. But last night, a new guy was copying a book on the photocopier next to the guard's station, so I went back up to my room and waited half an hour. Went back down… he was still there … went back up to my room, waited an hour (it's now 2 a.m. and I have to work the following day), go back down and he is still there. Bored with it all, I went up to him and told him that so much photocopying is a violation of copyright law, and he can get sent back to from whence he came if the dorm ever found out… he left fairly bloody quickly, and I managed to retrieve my newspapers. I'm happy to overlook people's minor infractions so long as they don't piss me off...
